Peer Support Open House

November 5 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Drop in and learn about the peer support services provided through the Canadian Mental Health Association Vernon and District.

The Peer Support Program is a free, confidential, peer-led initiative offering emotional and practical support to individuals navigating mental health challenges. Trained volunteers—who have lived experience—provide connection, understanding, and hope through shared experiences.

Services include:

  • One-on-one social support
  • Hospital visitation
  • Advocacy and education
  • Leadership and education-focused training

Volunteers foster:

  • Empowerment through meaningful roles
  • Awareness of community resources
  • Independence by modeling recovery
  • Connection to peers and the broader community

The open house is an opportunity to ask questions about the program. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.
