So much more than a thrift store. The Georgette gives volunteers real experience in sales and customer care through The Georgette Shop, a CMHA thrift store serving Vernon since 1966. Every shift builds practical skills like handling cash, helping customers, and working as a team. The Georgette creates a bigger ripple: affordable clothing for local families, less waste through reuse, and steady funding for CMHA programs that support mental health and wellness. All clothing sales support these services. Program participants can also sell their handmade items in‑store and keep all proceeds, creating income and confidence while strengthening our community.
What you’ll find: a warm welcome, quality clothing for all ages, and a constantly refreshed selection of everyday basics and one‑of‑a‑kind treasures. What you’ll feel: pride in supporting local mental health, and the joy of giving good items a second life. Donations of clean, gently used clothing are always appreciated and help us stock the shop year‑round.
Come explore our selection, donate clothing, or become a wellness volunteer. Bring a friend, make new connections, and be part of something that lifts our whole community. Whatever you choose, thank you for supporting mental health programs in the North Okanagan.
