Vernon, BC – New director of fund development brings wealth of community experience

An experienced fundraiser and community advocate is joining Canadian Mental Health Association Vernon and District.

Vicki Proulx is CMHA Vernon’s new director of development and communication.

“We are excited to have Vicki join our team,” said Julia Payson, executive director of the Canadian Mental Health Association Vernon and District.

“Vicki has a strong track record of community engagement and assisting non-profit organizations achieve their fundraising and communication goals. We are looking forward to Vicki bringing her passion to CMHA Vernon, particularly as we move ahead with major initiatives like Foundry North Okanagan and youth mental health services.”

Proulx was most recently director of fund development and communications with the North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Society and was previously executive director of Vernon Winter Carnival. She has also operated her own marketing and promotion business and has been an integral part of CMHA Vernon’s Ride Don’t Hide event for the last three years.

Raised in Armstrong, Proulx is extremely active in community theatre in Vernon. She also enjoys spending time at the beach with her daughter.

“I am looking forward to joining the incredible team at CMHA Vernon and supporting their efforts in providing and enhancing essential mental health services to residents of the North Okanagan,” said Proulx.
