There is still time to sign up for Ride Don’t Hide and support youth mental health services in the North Okanagan.
Ride Don’t Hide will be hosted by Canadian Mental Health Association Vernon & District June 9 at Polson Park. Registration opens at 8 a.m., with the event starting at 9 a.m.
“We have been overwhelmed by the response so far to Ride Don’t Hide and the number of participants is increasing steadily,” said Julia Payson, CMHA Vernon & District executive director.
“Ride Don’t Hide is a tremendous opportunity to support vital mental health services for youth and families here in the North Okanagan. We hope to see you there.”
Cyclists and non-cyclists can take part in the event which features six routes ranging from 1.2 to 50 kilometers. You can ride or walk as an individual or as part of a team.
“We have routes close to Polson Park that are ideal for young families while experienced cyclists will navigate routes along scenic farms and orchards in Coldstream,” said Payson.
Ride Don’t Hide will also include booths promoting local organizations, kids’ activities and a barbecue for participants.
