Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training is a two-day workshop that provides participants the ability to provide life-assisting suicide first-aid intervention. During the two-day interactive workshop participants learn to intervene and help prevent the immediate risk of suicide using the Pathway for Assisting Life (PAL) model.
Participants have the option of joining an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop presented at CMHA-Vernon, or you can bring an ASIST workshop to your organization (minimum of 10 participants). ASIST must be 2 consecutive dates due to the nature of the content.
The course is delivered in person. A minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 25 is required to organize a course. If you require a workshop for more than 25 participants another instructor can be arranged for additional costs.
Cost: For organizations arranging ASIST for staff the cost is $3,000 + $45.00 for materials per person. Subsidized group rate (subsidized rate for those working in non-profit and Indigenous peoples) is $2,000 + $45.00 for materials per person. Individual rates are also available.
**COVID-19 Update—ASIST workshops are currently unavailable, please email [email protected] to be placed on a list to be notified when they become available. **
